Patriot Match 2010

The Lewistown Pistol Club is proudly hosting the 2010 Patriot Match!!! This is a sanctioned IDPA match consisting of 11 stages and will be held on September 10th, 11th & 12th, 2010. There will be 4 sessions during this match , and will be limited to 40 shooters per session. 2nd Amendment incorporated

In a landmark ruling, the United States Supreme Court announced that the Fourteenth Amendment incorporates the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms for the purpose of self-defense.

Pennsylvania Service Pistol Championship & NRA 2700 + EIC + DR

Join us for the Pennsylvania Service Pistol State Championship, co-hosted by Lewistown Pistol Club and the Pennsylvania Rifle and Pistol Association. This event will qualify our state representatives for the National Trophy Team matches. The event program describes a number of new additions to this event, including pistol drawings, class winner bonus prizes, and a drawing for a junior shooter Camp Perry credit.

The Service Pistol championship will be incorporated within the 2700 structure. Additionally, an Excellence-In-Competition match and a Distinguished Revolver match will follow the completion of the 2700 match.

USPSA Matches

The club hosts a USPSA match the 2nd Sunday of every month April - November. We invite new and experienced shooters to participate. The cost is $15 for non-members and $10 for members. We have 5 stages plus a classifier every month that are challenging for all levels of shooters. Registration starts at 9am and match starts at 10am. If you are a new shooter, please notify us before the match and we will arrange a brief meeting to explain the sport and equipment and do an individual safety briefing.

Website transition

This blog is designed to facilitate the website transition for the club. The entity hosting the club's previous website has ceased operations. As we recover, you will observe that our present site is undergoing transition. During this interim, and possibly beyond, this blog forum will provide the principal conduit for club event announcements and results.

Concurrent with this transition is the URL migration from the previous ".org" address to the present ".com" address of http://www.lewistownpistolclub.com/. IDPA Matches

IDPA matches are held at the Lewistown Pistol Club on the last Sunday of each month. The match begins at 10am with a safety brief held prior to the match. The match consists of six stages, with an average round count of 65 to 90 rounds. The cost is $10.00 for members and $15.00 for non-members. New shooters are always welcome.
